Deliciously Dismantled

It’s finally getting creepy in here.  Dismantled  by Jennifer McMahon chronicles the lives of a New England self-proclaimed college posse-- the Compassionate Dismantlers-- who take practical pranks way too far.  Tess, Henry, Val/Winnie, Spencer and Suz make up the Compassionate Dismantlers but the acts they perform can hardly be described as compassionate….

The pranks are harmless at first but one night a joke isn’t a joke anymore and someone gets hurt.  After this, the Compassionate Dismantlers disband.

Ten years later, Spencer commits suicide after receiving a postcard seemingly from the Compassionate Dismantlers.  Subsequently Spencer’s family launches a private investigator onto the case and the past is dredged up and on show as the stuff of common gossip.

Married Dismantlers Henry and Tess live just a hair's breadth from the scene of the crime and they have a young daughter Emma.  Suz disappeared those ten years ago, Winnie reappears ten years later and now Spencer is dead.

I tried to figure this riddle out right away but to no avail.  It took a bit but it was fun and insightful trying.  I hope you have fun with the puzzle and better luck than I.  I know you will.

Jennifer McMahon is the author of Promise Not to Tell and New York Times Bestseller Island of Lost Girls.

Jennifer McMahon’s Dismantled gives us thrills and suspense with a generous twist of supernatural.  It’s generously shaken as well as deliciously disturbed.
